London based Nightworks release their debut album ‘Urban Island Heat’ this week via Loose Lips. Formerly of Metronomy & Your Twenties Gabriel Stebbing has opted to explore the realms and boundaries of the pop scene. Having had plenty of success with Metronomy, Stebbing has delved into R&B and disco to influence the accomplished storytelling effort on this LP. The album as a whole allows you to lose yourself in the moment from the first track to the last with the beautiful constructed lyrics that intertwines with each seperate track. The lead single ‘Long Forgotten Boy’ has been recieving plaudits from all quarters. The magnitude of the track is for all to see and comes with the backing of Erol Alkan who has completed a rework which has turned the track into a sure fire hit on the dancefloor.
